Description: A group of American college students—Dana, Jules, Curt, Holden, and Marty—decide to spend their weekend in a remote cabin in the forest. Unbeknownst to them, Sitterson and Hadley, working from a lab, remotely control the cabin and manipulate the students by exposing them to mind-altering drugs. These substances impair rational thinking and increase libido. The lab staff bets on which type of monster will attack the students and discusses the failures of similar operations worldwide.
While exploring the cabin’s cellar, the group discovers strange items, including the diary of Patience Buckner, a former resident who was abused by her family. Dana reads incantations from the diary, unknowingly summoning the zombified Buckner family.
Hadley releases pheromones to provoke Curt and Jules into having sex outside, where they are attacked by zombies. Jules is decapitated, but Curt manages to escape. Marty uncovers hidden surveillance equipment in his room before being dragged away by a zombie. Meanwhile, the lab workers learn that the ritual in Japan has also failed, making the American operation humanity’s last hope.
Curt, Holden, and Dana attempt to flee in their RV, but Sitterson causes a tunnel collapse to block their path. Curt tries to jump a ravine on his motorcycle to seek help but crashes into a force field and dies. Realizing their experience is orchestrated, Holden and Dana continue their escape, but Holden is killed by a zombie, and Dana is attacked when the RV crashes into a lake.
The lab workers initially celebrate Dana being the sole survivor, but they soon discover Marty is still alive. Marty rescues Dana and leads her to a hidden elevator he found earlier.
