Storyline:
Six weeks after Jason Bourne’s escape from Moscow in *The Bourne Supremacy*, Aaron Cross, an operative in a covert Department of Defense program called Operation Outcome, is sent to Alaska for a training mission. After missing training and disappearing for four days, Cross is forced to endure harsh weather and challenging terrain to reach a remote cabin. There, he meets an exiled operative, Number Three, who informs him that he has broken the mission record by two days. As part of Operation Outcome, Cross relies on experimental pills known as “chems” to enhance his physical and mental abilities.
Meanwhile, retired Air Force colonel Eric Byer is tasked with managing the fallout from the exposure of the Treadstone and Blackbriar programs. Upon discovering a potentially damaging video involving Outcome’s medical directors, Byer orders the elimination of all individuals connected to the program to protect future initiatives like the supersoldier program LARX.
Byer deploys a drone to kill Cross and Number Three in Alaska. Number Three is killed, but Cross escapes by tricking the drone into destroying a wolf implanted with his tracking device. Meanwhile, at Sterisyn-Morlanta, a biogenetics company supporting Outcome, researcher Dr. Donald Foite kills most of his colleagues before taking his own life, leaving Dr. Marta Shearing as the sole survivor. Other Outcome agents are also eliminated when their handlers provide them with poisoned pills disguised as chems.
Later, assassins posing as federal agents visit Shearing at her home, attempting to stage her suicide. Cross intervenes, saving her life and eliminating the assassins.”
