**Storyline:**
An alarm is activated at the “Outpost” military base, prompting soldiers to take their positions and prepare for combat. Reports indicate that an unidentified enemy is approaching—creatures larger than humans, moving at 20 kilometers per hour.
Twenty-four days before these events, serviceman Oleg goes on a date with Alena, and they return to his place. Suddenly, the entire world, except for the areas around Moscow, parts of Belarus, Ukraine, and Finland, is plunged into darkness. The fate of billions remains unknown. Communication is lost worldwide, and only a small group of survivors remains within an area called the Circle of Life. A defensive perimeter is established, and reconnaissance teams are sent out, but they fail to return. It becomes clear that Earth has been attacked, resulting in countless casualties.
To combat this mysterious threat, humanity mobilizes its army and constructs outposts. During a reconnaissance mission outside the Circle of Life, a squad explores abandoned cities. One soldier is attacked and injured, and while the others attempt to shoot the assailant, he manages to escape.
The story then shifts back to the prologue. As soldiers prepare for the unknown enemy, the power is cut off, and the outpost is engulfed in darkness. Upon learning that massive creatures are emerging from the forest, moving at 20 kilometers per hour, the soldiers open fire. Surprisingly, the enemy turns out to be a massive herd of brown bears. By morning, not all soldiers have survived. Among the survivors is Oleg, who sustains a leg injury.
In Moscow, it is revealed that some survivors from the edge of the Quarantine Zone have developed unusual abilities. One of them, Sasha, appears to have a psychic connection with the unknown attackers.
