The team includes Mr. Wolf, a smooth-talking leader voiced by Sam Rockwell; Mr. Snake, his grumpy best friend voiced by Marc Maron; Mr. Shark, a master of disguises voiced by Craig Robinson; Ms. Tarantula, a skilled hacker voiced by Awkwafina; and Mr. Piranha, the group’s muscle, voiced by Anthony Ramos.
Set in a fictionalized version of Los Angeles, the Bad Guys are known for their bank heists and ability to evade the police. However, their lives take a turn when Mr. Wolf receives praise for an act of kindness, planting the seed of change in him. When they are caught stealing a humanitarian award, they are saved by its recipient, Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade), who offers them a chance to reform rather than face imprisonment.
With its vibrant visuals and talented voice cast, “The Bad Guys” delivers an entertaining experience while retracing a well-worn path in animated storytelling.
