Genre: Crime;Drama;Romance;South;Indian
Description: The story begins with a flashback at the Thalassery pier, where Vinod Nair and his friend are present. Vinod notices a Muslim girl he finds attractive and prays to God to make her his wife someday. The movie then transitions to the present, where Vinod, a middle-class Hindu Nair, is arrested for trespassing on the property of a wealthy Muslim politician, Abdul Khader. It turns out Vinod was there to meet Aisha, the politician’s niece, with whom he is deeply in love. Sub-inspector Prem Kumar and his team ask Vinod to share his love story.
The narrative then shifts back a few months, when Vinod first encountered Aisha at his friend’s wedding. While rushing through a corridor, he accidentally collides with her, causing her to fall down a staircase and end up unconscious in a hospital. Vinod visits the hospital and, with the help of a young girl, leaves a “sorry” letter for Aisha using a stencil. With the support of his close friends Abdu and Mustafa, Vinod begins trying to win Aisha’s heart.
In an attempt to get closer to her, Vinod decides to participate in a Daffmuttu competition at the Kannur University Cultural Festival, where Aisha is also competing. He seeks training from Najaf, despite their troubled past. During Vinod’s 12th grade, he and his friends Nijad and Majid had a group called Smartboyz. Majid was in love with Fatima, who, however, was in love with Najaf. The trio decided to confront Najaf, leading to a fight where Majid accidentally dropped his driving license, exposing their identities. The next day, they were beaten up by Najaf’s friends.
This layered story explores love, rivalry, and the complexities of relationships.
