**Storyline:**
Set in 1995, John Connor resides in Los Angeles with his foster parents. His mother, Sarah Connor, spent his childhood preparing him for his future role as the leader of the human resistance against Skynet, an artificial intelligence system. Skynet is destined to take control of the United States’ nuclear arsenal, leading to a global catastrophe known as “Judgment Day” on August 29, 1997. However, Sarah was arrested and institutionalized in a mental hospital after her failed attempt to bomb a computer factory.
In 2029, Skynet dispatches a highly advanced Terminator, the T-1000, back in time to eliminate John. The T-1000 is a liquid metal prototype capable of morphing its shape, mimicking appearances, and transforming its arms into weapons. Upon arrival, the T-1000 kills a police officer, assumes his identity, and uses the police database to locate John. Meanwhile, the future John Connor sends a reprogrammed Model 101 Terminator to protect his younger self.
The T-1000 and the Model 101 Terminator confront John in a shopping mall, triggering a high-speed chase. John escapes with the Model 101 on a motorcycle. Fearing the T-1000 will target Sarah, John orders the Terminator to rescue her. The trio reunites after Sarah escapes from the hospital, though she initially distrusts the Model 101. After narrowly evading the T-1000, the Terminator reveals the origins of Skynet to John and Sarah. They learn that Miles Bennett Dyson, a Cyberdyne Systems engineer, is developing the groundbreaking microprocessor that will become the foundation of Skynet.
