**Storyline:**
“Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” (translated as “I got so entangled by your words”) is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language science fiction romantic comedy featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The film is produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, with Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah making their directorial debut.
Principal photography took place from October 2022 to April 2023, with the film’s theatrical release on February 9, 2024. The story follows Aryan, a robotics engineer in Mumbai seeking a relationship based on compatibility. He encounters Sifra, an advanced robot designed to fulfill his emotional needs. Though he knows Sifra is merely software, he finds himself falling in love with her.
As the plot unfolds, Aryan travels to the USA to work for his aunt’s company, Robotex, where he meets Sifra, a creation that resembles a human in both appearance and behavior. After realizing that Sifra is indeed a robot, Aryan feels heartbroken and returns to India, agreeing to marry someone else. However, he decides to test Sifra’s capabilities back home, leading to chaos on their wedding day when she malfunctions. Ultimately, Aryan confronts the truth that despite Sifra’s human-like qualities, she can never truly be human. The film concludes on a hopeful note, hinting at the potential and challenges of advancements like Sifra.
The soundtrack features compositions by Tanishk Bagchi, Sachin–Jigar, and Mitraz. The first single, “Laal Peeli Akhiyaan,” an adaptation of a Rajasthani song, was released on January 12, 2024. Following this, the second single, “Akhiyaan Gulaab,” a remake of Mitraz’s “Gulaab,” was launched on January 24, 2024. The title track, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” is a remake of Raghav’s song “Teri Baaton” from his 2004 album “Storyteller.” The fourth single, “Tum Se,” was released on February 2, 2024.
