**Storyline:**
One year after defeating Shredder, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles learn from April O’Neil that scientist Baxter Stockman is aiding Shredder in his escape from prison. During Shredder’s transfer between prisons alongside Bebop and Rocksteady, the Foot Clan ambushes the convoy. Despite the turtles’ intervention, Shredder escapes using a teleportation device created by Stockman. Shredder ends up in another dimension, where he encounters Krang, an alien warlord planning to invade Earth. Krang provides Shredder with a mutagenic compound in exchange for locating three components of a machine that will open a portal to his dimension.
Shredder recruits Bebop and Rocksteady, and Stockman uses the mutagen to transform them into a humanoid warthog and rhinoceros. April witnesses the transformation, steals a vial of the mutagen, and is later rescued by Casey Jones. The turtles discover the mutagen could potentially turn them into humans, but Leonardo opposes the idea, leading to tension among the brothers. Raphael, Michelangelo, April, and Casey attempt to retrieve the mutagen from the NYPD headquarters, but they face the Foot Clan in a chaotic battle. The turtles’ existence is exposed to the police, resulting in a citywide manhunt, while April and Casey are arrested.
