The story unfolds on Christmas Eve in Hollywood, where Sin-Dee Rella, a transgender sex worker, reunites with her friend Alexandra after serving a 28-day prison sentence. During their meeting at a donut shop, Alexandra informs Sin-Dee that her boyfriend and pimp, Chester, has been unfaithful with a cisgender woman. Determined to confront Chester, Sin-Dee sets out to find him and the woman in question.
Meanwhile, Alexandra promotes her upcoming musical performance by distributing flyers. Her day takes a turn when she argues with a client who refuses to pay, leading to a police intervention. Elsewhere, Razmik, an Armenian cab driver, picks up a prostitute but quickly ends the encounter upon discovering she is not transgender. He later meets Alexandra and engages in an intimate moment with her at a car wash before returning home for a Christmas dinner with his family.
Sin-Dee eventually locates the woman, Dinah, at a motel and forcefully takes her on a bus to find Chester. Along the way, Dinah mocks Sin-Dee for believing she is Chester’s only partner. Realizing she is late for Alexandra’s performance, Sin-Dee brings Dinah to the venue instead. The two reconcile in the bar’s bathroom, bonding over crystal meth and applying makeup together. Alexandra performs her set to an almost empty bar, revealing she paid the owner for the opportunity.
Razmik leaves his family under the pretense of work to attend Alexandra’s performance but arrives too late. He begins searching for Sin-Dee while his suspicious mother-in-law, Ashken, enlists the help of another Armenian cab driver, Karo, to track him down. The film weaves together these intersecting stories, offering a raw and vivid portrayal of life on the fringes of society.
