Description: The movie “Tag” (2018) tells the story of Hogan “Hoagie” Malloy, Bob Callahan, Randy “Chilli” Cilliano, Kevin Sable, and Jerry Pierce, a group of friends who have been playing a game of tag every May since 1983. Remarkably, Jerry has never been tagged. Learning that Jerry plans to retire from the game after this year due to his upcoming marriage, Hoagie convinces Bob, Chilli, and Kevin to make one final attempt to tag him. Rebecca Crosby, a reporter from the Wall Street Journal, joins them to document their story, turning it into an article. Hoagie’s wife, Anna, also accompanies the group.
Returning to their hometown, the friends locate Jerry and try to tag him, but his skill proves unmatched. Jerry introduces his fiancée, Susan, and the group expresses disappointment over not being invited to the wedding, despite their close bond. They agree not to play the game during wedding-related events in exchange for invitations. However, they make several unsuccessful attempts to tag Jerry, with Hoagie, Chilli, and Kevin falling into painful traps set by Jerry. During the rehearsal dinner, Susan reveals she is pregnant.
Determined to succeed, the group devises a new plan. Discovering that Jerry attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, they decide to strike during his next meeting, which falls on his wedding day. They block all exits and disguise themselves as AA members. Just as they nearly succeed in tagging Jerry, he retreats to the communion wine storage area, hiding for hours as they wait outside. The wedding is just a few hours away when Susan arrives, bringing the chase to a pause.
