Description: In 1953, the Soviet Union unveils Superman to the world, causing panic in the United States. The Cold War arms race shifts focus from nuclear weapons to metahumans as the CIA recruits scientist Lex Luthor to eliminate Superman. Luthor orchestrates the fall of Sputnik 2 towards Metropolis, but Superman diverts it. Using Superman’s genetic material, Luthor creates a monstrous clone named Superman 2.
Superman encounters Wonder Woman at a diplomatic event, and she becomes enamored with him. Meanwhile, Pyotr Roslov, the head of the NKVD and Joseph Stalin’s illegitimate son, grows resentful as Superman gains Stalin’s favor, hindering his own political ambitions. After Stalin’s death, Superman initially refuses leadership of the Communist Party but changes his mind after reuniting with Lana Lazarenko, his childhood sweetheart. He decides to use his powers to transform the Soviet Union into a utopia.
The U.S. sends Superman 2 to confront Superman, resulting in an accidental nuclear missile launch in Great Britain. The clone sacrifices itself to save lives. Luthor kills his research team and establishes LuthorCorp, dedicating himself to Superman’s destruction.
By 1978, the U.S. faces societal collapse while the Soviet Union flourishes, expanding its global influence. However, this progress comes at the cost of individual freedoms, as Superman evolves into a Big Brother-like figure. A brain surgery technique is introduced to transform dissenters into obedient “Superman Robots.”
