Description: “Superman: Man of Tomorrow” (2020) follows the story of Kal-El, who is sent to Earth after the destruction of his home planet, Krypton. Adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent, he is named Clark and raised in Smallville, Kansas. As Clark grows up, he struggles with isolation due to his superhuman abilities, which develop under Earth’s yellow sun. In the present day, he works as an intern at the Daily Planet in Metropolis, where he also serves coffee to the staff.
One day, Clark encounters Rudy Jones, a janitor at S.T.A.R. Labs, who reveals ongoing extraterrestrial experiments at the facility. While attending a LexCorp event, reporter Lois Lane exposes Lex Luthor for negligence, leading to his arrest. When a misdirected rocket threatens Metropolis, Clark intervenes as the Flying Man and redirects it into space. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure in a trench coat observes him.
As S.T.A.R. Labs detects a UFO approaching Earth, Clark investigates and faces Lobo, an alien bounty hunter. Lobo reveals that Clark is the last of his kind and pursues him for a bounty. Their battle spans Metropolis and moves to S.T.A.R. Labs, where an explosion injures Rudy, exposing him to a mysterious purple liquid. Lobo exploits Clark’s vulnerability to Kryptonite, but a Martian intervenes, distracting Lobo long enough for Clark to heal using sunlight and ultimately defeat the bounty hunter.
Following the encounter, Clark grapples with whether to reveal his true identity to the world. Meanwhile, Rudy awakens in a hospital, discovering he has gained the ability to drain energy from living beings, transforming them into lifeless husks.
