**Storyline:**
In 1993 Encino, Skye Willow, the lead singer of the rock band Dream Widow, is found crawling on the floor with a broken leg, pursued by the band’s frontman, Greg Nole, who is armed with a hammer. Skye witnesses the lifeless body of another band member, whose jaw was shattered by Greg. Greg then brutally kills Skye by smashing her skull with the hammer before taking his own life by hanging himself from a window.
Years later, in 2019, the Foo Fighters are commissioned by their manager, Jeremy Shill, to create their tenth album as a means to help him settle his debts. The band relocates to a mansion, where frontman Dave Grohl becomes deeply inspired by the house’s interior, seeing it as a creative catalyst for their new album.
As the band settles into the mansion, they face challenges in producing the album. Tragedy strikes when their technician, Krug, is electrocuted by a faulty wire, prompting the band to dedicate the album to his memory. Grohl discovers a hidden basement filled with satanic artifacts and becomes possessed by the spirit of the deceased frontman after listening to a mysterious demo tape. Under the demon’s influence, Grohl forces the band to continue working on the album.
Soon, a delivery man named Darren, who previously attempted to give Grohl a demo tape, is found decapitated outside the mansion by an unknown figure wielding hedge clippers. The terror escalates when guitarist Chris Shiflett is attacked while cooking on a grill; his face is pushed onto the hot surface, and he is subsequently stabbed repeatedly in the neck. Grohl is revealed as the attacker.
The band uncovers Darren’s corpse, but Grohl dissuades them from contacting the authorities and confiscates their phones. After witnessing Grohl consume Chris, the remaining members learn the mansion’s dark history and Grohl’s possession with the help of a neighbor, Samantha. To save Grohl, they must locate a specific book needed to perform an exorcism and free him from the demon’s control.
