Description: In 1983, during the peak of the Cold War, two Russian cosmonauts encountered something mysterious while returning from an orbital research mission. Upon re-entry, their spacecraft malfunctioned, leaving only one cosmonaut, Konstantin, alive. However, it became evident that something was wrong with him. He was placed in a secluded military facility, where Dr. Tatyana Klimova, a young psychiatrist with unconventional methods, was called in by Colonel Semiradov to assess his condition.
Initially unaware of the true reason for Konstantin’s quarantine, Tatyana soon discovered that the cosmonaut had unknowingly brought back an extraterrestrial life-form inside his body. The creature emerged at night while Konstantin slept. Colonel Semiradov revealed that her task was to find a way to separate the creature from Konstantin, as they had developed a symbiotic relationship. The alien resided in the cosmonaut’s esophagus, benefiting from his nutrients, while Konstantin miraculously recovered from his injuries sustained during the crash.
During her investigation, Tatyana confronted Konstantin about abandoning his child at an orphanage, attempting to provoke him. This led her to uncover that the creature’s behavior was influenced by hormone levels. She also noticed that one of the videos she was shown had been doctored, exposing a horrifying truth: the creature did not feed on Konstantin’s food but consumed live humans. The military had been feeding it prisoners, and the alien thrived on the cortisol released by its victims’ fear.
