Description: During a Fourth of July parade, Detective Marv Boswick, an off-duty officer, pursues a thief into a sewer drainage pipe. Suddenly attacked from behind by a figure wearing a pig mask, Boswick regains consciousness to find himself in a perilous situation. He is suspended by his tongue in an active subway tunnel. A recorded message presents him with a harrowing choice: tear out his tongue to survive or wait for the next train, which would kill him. Unable to free himself in time, Boswick is struck by the train and dies.
The following day, Police Chief Angie Garza assigns Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks a new partner, William Schenk, a rookie with an idealistic outlook. Together, they investigate Boswick’s death. Banks soon recognizes eerie similarities to the methods of the infamous Jigsaw Killer, who was believed to be deceased.
