**Storyline:**
In 2014, an attempt to combat global warming through climate engineering goes disastrously wrong, plunging the world into a new ice age. The remnants of humanity survive aboard a perpetually moving train called the *Snowpiercer*, operated by the reclusive transportation magnate Wilford. The train’s passengers are starkly divided: the wealthy elites reside in luxurious front cars, while the impoverished are confined to the squalid tail sections, controlled by armed guards.
Guided by his mentor Gilliam, Curtis, alongside his second-in-command Edgar, leads a revolt among the tail passengers after discovering the guards’ weapons are unloaded. They free Namgoong, a security expert, who insists on the release of his clairvoyant daughter, Yona. With Namgoong’s help, the tail passengers advance through the train, encountering a standoff with axe-wielding guards under the command of Minister Mason. In a fierce battle, Curtis must choose between saving Edgar or capturing Mason. He opts to capture Mason, using her as leverage to end the fight, but Edgar is fatally wounded.
Curtis and his group, including Mason, Namgoong, Yona, and others, continue their journey toward the front of the train. Along the way, they pass through lavish cars and witness signs that the ice outside might be thawing. They eventually reach a classroom where children are being indoctrinated into Wilford’s ideology. A teacher attacks and kills Andrew, one of the parents, before Grey eliminates her. Meanwhile, in the tail section, Franco, a loyalist to Mason, overpowers the tail army, captures Gilliam, and executes him on live television, prompting Curtis to kill Mason in retaliation.
