**Storyline:**
Queen Eleanor of Tabor pricks her finger on a rose thorn while admiring its winter bloom. As drops of blood fall onto the snow, she wishes for a daughter with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, hair as black as a raven’s wings, and a heart as strong as the rose. She gives birth to Snow White but succumbs to illness years later. After her death, King Magnus, Snow White’s father, battles a dark army of glass soldiers. Upon rescuing Ravenna, he becomes enchanted by her beauty and marries her.
However, Ravenna is a powerful sorceress and the mastermind behind the dark army. On their wedding night, she reveals her tragic past, declaring she will never be discarded again, and kills King Magnus, seizing control of the kingdom. Snow White’s childhood friend William and his father, Duke Hammond, escape but fail to rescue her, leaving her imprisoned in a tower for years.
Under Ravenna’s rule, Tabor falls into ruin. She sustains her youthful beauty by draining the youth of young women, maintaining a spell cast by her mother. When Snow White comes of age, Ravenna’s Magic Mirror reveals that Snow White is destined to destroy her unless Ravenna consumes her heart to become immortal. Ravenna orders her brother Finn to retrieve Snow White’s heart, but Snow White escapes into the Dark Forest, where Ravenna’s powers are ineffective.
Ravenna enlists Eric the Huntsman, a widowed drunkard, promising to revive his wife in exchange for capturing Snow White. The Huntsman tracks her down but turns against Ravenna upon learning her promise is a lie. He helps Snow White escape, while Finn assembles a group to find her. Meanwhile, Duke Hammond and William discover Snow White is alive, and William sets out to rescue her, joining Finn’s band as an archer.
