Description: Shororipu 2: Jotugriho is a 2021 Indian Bengali-language psychological crime thriller written and directed by Ayan Chakraborty. The plot revolves around Megha (Arunima Ghosh), who is preparing to marry her boyfriend but is forced into marrying her father’s friend, Debraj, due to unexpected circumstances. Over eight years of a troubled marriage, Megha endures immense psychological distress until Debraj dies under mysterious circumstances. Detective Chandrakanta (played by Chiranjeet Chakraborty) is called in to investigate whether his death was an accident or a murder.
Ayan Chakraborty introduced Detective Chandrakanta in his crime thriller “Shororipu,” and this sequel continues the franchise. The film was announced in December 2018 and boasts a talented cast, including Rajesh Sharma, Darshana Banik, Sourav Chakraborty, Debranjan Nag, Poulami Das, and Biswajit Chakraborty. Rupam Islam composed the music for the film.
