Description: “Seven Psychopaths” (2012) is a dark comedy-crime film about Marty, a struggling screenwriter working on his script titled “Seven Psychopaths.” His friend Billy, who earns a living by kidnapping dogs and collecting rewards for their return, teams up with Hans, a religious man caring for his terminally ill wife, Myra. As Marty develops a story about a psychopath called “The Quaker,” Billy suggests including the “Jack of Diamonds” killer, responsible for a recent double murder.
Billy places a newspaper ad inviting psychopaths to share their stories for Marty’s screenplay. One man, Zachariah Rigby, recounts his past as part of a duo that targeted other serial killers. Meanwhile, Billy and Hans unknowingly steal a Shih Tzu named Bonny, owned by Charlie Costello, a dangerous gangster. As Charlie’s thugs close in, the Jack of Diamonds killer intervenes.
Tragedy strikes when Charlie kills Myra after she refuses to cooperate. Billy retaliates by shooting Charlie’s girlfriend, Angela. Eventually, Charlie discovers Billy’s identity as the Jack of Diamonds killer. The film blends humor, violence, and unexpected twists in a story about crime, friendship, and storytelling.
