Description: The 2021 film “Seetimaarr” is a high-energy mass entertainer, perfect for festive occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi. Directed by Sampath Nandi, the movie blends action, drama, and sports, with kabaddi serving as its backdrop. The story revolves around Karthi (played by Gopichand), a bank employee and part-time kabaddi coach, who dreams of bringing national recognition to his father’s school and helping young kabaddi players from his village win the national championship. Meanwhile, Jwala Reddy (Tamannaah Bhatia) trains girls in Telangana for the same goal.
The plot thickens when both Karthi and Jwala head to Delhi to support their teams in the national championship. However, their plans are disrupted by Singh (Tarun Arora), a menacing villain who kidnaps the Andhra Pradesh team. Karthi is forced to go beyond his coaching role and fight to rescue his team before it’s too late.
The film is packed with high-octane action sequences, dramatic dialogues, and a mix of glamour and sports drama. While the kabaddi elements are engaging, the story also addresses themes of women’s empowerment, albeit in a dramatic and somewhat stereotypical manner. The interval episode is particularly gripping, setting the stage for an intense second half.
“Seetimaarr” delivers what it promises—a pure mass entertainer with flying bodies, intense confrontations, and a hero who takes on a formidable villain to reclaim his team’s honor. Despite some odd choices, like inserting glamorous duets amidst serious conflicts, the film remains an engaging watch for fans of action-packed dramas.
