Description: “Seed of Chucky” (2004) is a continuation of the iconic horror series involving the infamous Chucky doll. The story shifts focus to Glen/Glenda, the child of Chucky and Tiffany, who revives their parents. Once restored, the dysfunctional family sets its sights on actress Jennifer Tilly, who plays a fictionalized version of herself, with dark intentions in mind.
The Chucky saga began in 1988 with *Child’s Play*, where a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray transferred his soul into a Good Guys doll to escape capture. The doll, named Chucky, terrorizes a young boy named Andy Barclay and his family. The story continued with *Child’s Play 2* (1990), where Chucky returned to pursue Andy again, and *Child’s Play 3* (1991), which saw a teenage Andy facing the doll once more in a military academy.
The series evolved with *Bride of Chucky* (1998), introducing Tiffany Valentine, Chucky’s former accomplice and love interest. After being resurrected by Tiffany, the two embark on a chaotic spree, attempting to transfer their souls into human bodies.
The franchise returned to its horror roots with *Curse of Chucky* (2013), set 25 years after the original film, where Chucky torments a new family. The story continued in *Cult of Chucky* (2017), featuring a now-institutionalized victim and Chucky’s ability to split his soul into multiple bodies, creating a ‘cult.’
