Description: Shankar, an Indian Army soldier, is granted a week’s leave after being injured during a border skirmish. Instead of resting, he decides to travel across the country to visit his mother and assist her with a long-awaited eye surgery. However, his journey is filled with unexpected events. Will he reach his mother on time and return to duty as promised?
Although all leaves for border soldiers are canceled, Shankar persuades his supervisor to allow him a few days off. As he departs from Kashmir for Pollachi, his fellow soldiers entrust him with messages and gifts for their families.
Throughout his trip, Shankar’s kind and selfless nature causes him to miss his train multiple times. He assists an elderly Bengali couple who boarded the wrong train, accompanies a video blogger (Palomi Ghosh) in exposing a taxi mafia, rescues passengers from an electrocuted bus on railway tracks, confronts goons, and even helps a fellow soldier’s grandmother recover from a coma. Most of the film revolves around Shankar running tirelessly, making it seem like he’s been on the move for eight days straight (reminiscent of *Forest Gump*). The injury that granted him leave appears insignificant, as the storyline lacks logical consistency.
