Description: Ex-cop and cage fighter Luke Wright unintentionally wins a rigged match, angering Emile Docheski, the Russian mafia leader. As punishment, Docheski’s son Vassily and his men murder Luke’s pregnant wife and vow to kill anyone he regularly interacts with. Devastated, Luke abandons his life and becomes a homeless drifter. Meanwhile, in China, Mei, a young math prodigy, is kidnapped by the Triad boss Han Jiao, who plans to use her as a human calculator to erase his criminal organization’s digital footprint. Han sends Mei to New York City under the watch of Quan Chang, a ruthless gangster.
A year later, Han arrives from China and orders Mei to memorize a lengthy number. While retrieving a second number, their convoy is ambushed by the Russian mafia. Mei is taken to Emile, who demands the number, but she refuses. Before further interrogation, corrupt Captain Wolf, who works for Han, sends police to intervene. Mei escapes during the chaos and is pursued by the Russians to a subway station, where Luke is contemplating suicide. Recognizing one of the men who killed his wife, Luke rescues Mei, eliminating the Russian attackers.
Mei flees at the next stop but is detained by Wolf’s corrupt detectives. Luke arrives, incapacitates the detectives, and convinces Mei of his good intentions before defeating more Russian pursuers. In a hotel hideout, Mei explains the number to Luke, who deduces it’s a safe combination code. However, Quan tracks Mei through her phone and kidnaps her during a diversion while Luke battles Quan’s men. Elsewhere, Captain Wolf meets Mayor Danny Tremello, who reveals Luke’s past as a black ops hitman for the government, loaned to the NYPD by CIA contacts after 9/11.
