Description: Nehalata, a young woman, suffers a severe head injury in a car accident while returning from a party. Upon recovery, she is diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, mentally regressing to the state of a 6-year-old child. Unable to recognize her elderly parents, she is tragically kidnapped and sold to a brothel. There, she is renamed Reshmi and forced into a life of exploitation.
Somprakash, or Somu, a school teacher, visits the brothel with a friend and encounters Reshmi. Realizing her childlike mental state, he takes pity on her after learning her story. Despite Reshmi’s inability to provide enough details about her family, Somu decides to rescue her. He brings her to his home in Ooty, where he lives with his elderly neighbor, Nani, who helps care for Reshmi.
Their relationship remains protective and nurturing, with Somu acting as a guardian to the childlike Reshmi. However, their bond faces challenges, including a moment of tension when Reshmi accidentally ruins Somu’s documents. Later, Reshmi narrowly escapes an assault by a local woodcutter named Balwant, prompting Somu to react with fury.
Amidst this, Soni, the younger wife of Somu’s headmaster, repeatedly tries to seduce him, but Somu remains uninterested. The story unfolds as Somu continues to care for Reshmi, navigating the complexities of their unique relationship.
