The film was announced for Netflix on February 5, 2019, alongside another Nickelodeon project, “The Loud House.” Production delays pushed the release to 2022, with the first trailer debuting on July 6, 2022, and a sneak preview following on August 3, 2022. The movie was officially completed on April 7, 2022.
