Description: A man’s estranged mother passes away, leaving him with a conditional inheritance. The comedy *Ride the Eagle* is directed by Trent O’Donnell, known for “New Girl” and “No Activity,” with a screenplay co-written by O’Donnell and Jake Johnson, who also stars in the film alongside Susan Sarandon, J.K. Simmons, and D’Arcy Carden. The movie follows Leif, who is left with this unique challenge after his mother Honey’s death.
Independent distributor DECAL, which acquired worldwide rights to the film, released *Ride the Eagle* in theaters and on digital platforms on July 30, 2021. Jake Johnson shared that the film was conceived during the pandemic as a story about people coming together, humorously adding that his dog Nora deserves recognition as the greatest actor of their generation.
