The plot follows Lao Luo, a seasoned stuntman, and his loyal horse, Red Hare, whom he rescued from euthanasia due to its deformity. Lao’s life is in turmoil—years ago, a severe injury left him bankrupt and caused him to lose custody of his daughter, Xiao Bao, following a divorce. During a confrontation with debt collectors, Lao and Red Hare find themselves in trouble when they discover the horse is at risk of being auctioned after their company goes bankrupt. Desperate, Lao turns to Bao, now a law student, for legal assistance. Despite initial hesitation, Bao agrees to help, enlisting her boyfriend, Naihua, to support Lao’s case.
After a video of Lao and Red Hare’s fight goes viral, they gain attention in the film industry and are hired for several projects. Bao becomes his representative but grows uneasy with Lao’s dangerous stunts, fearing for his and Red Hare’s safety. Tensions rise when Lao embarrasses Bao in front of Naihua’s parents, leading her to cut ties with him. Later, Lao and Red Hare suffer severe injuries during a stunt, landing Lao in the hospital. While searching his home for identification, Bao discovers CCTV footage of a failed meeting between them from her childhood, which moves her deeply. She reconciles with Lao at the hospital, where he promises to retire from stunt work.
