**Storyline:**
Jennifer, known as “Jen,” is an American socialite secretly involved with her married neighbor, Richard. The two plan a weekend getaway at Richard’s secluded desert home before his annual hunting trip with friends Stan and Dimitri. Before leaving, Richard’s helicopter pilot gifts him some peyote, which Jen hides in her necklace. However, Stan and Dimitri arrive earlier than expected, ruining Richard’s plans to keep Jen hidden.
During a night of drinking and dancing, Richard warns Jen to keep the peyote away from Stan and Dimitri. The next morning, while Richard is away, Stan attempts to force himself on Jen, claiming she flirted with him the previous night. When she refuses, he rapes her. Dimitri witnesses the act but does nothing to intervene. Upon Richard’s return, he scolds Stan and offers Jen money to stay silent. When she threatens to expose their affair to Richard’s wife, he slaps her, and she flees into the desert.
The three men chase Jen to a cliff, where Richard deceives her by pretending to call his pilot to take her home. Instead, he pushes her off the edge, causing her to be impaled on a tree below. Assuming she’s dead, the trio leaves her body and continues their hunting trip.
Jen regains consciousness and uses her lighter to set the tree ablaze, breaking it and freeing herself despite the branch still lodged in her body. She wanders the desert, evading the men who now realize she has escaped. During her ordeal, Jen encounters Dimitri and attempts to shoot him with his own unloaded shotgun. In a struggle, she stabs him in the eyes with his hunting knife, leaving him to bleed out in the river. Jen then takes his supplies and continues her fight for survival.
