**Storyline:**
Several individuals experience visions of seemingly deceased people: a businessman encounters one in an elevator, and a truck driver hits one on the road.
Thirty-five years earlier, Professor Norihasa Omori visits a hotel and records himself murdering eleven guests, employees, and his own children before taking his own life. His goal was to explore the concept of reincarnation. The footage of these killings mysteriously vanishes. Decades later, horror film director Ikuo Matsumura decides to create a movie based on the massacre. As the filming date approaches, actress Nagisa Sugiura (Yūka), cast as Omori’s daughter Chisato, is tormented by the ghosts of the victims. She suffers from hallucinations and nightmares about the killings. Nagisa discovers an old film camera identical to the one used by the professor.
Meanwhile, college student Yayoi Kinoshita (Karina Nose) meets Yuka Morita (Marika Matsumoto), an actress who auditioned for Ikuo’s film. Yuka claims to have memories of a “past life” and shows Yayoi a birthmark resembling evidence of strangulation. Later, ghosts abduct Yuka. Yayoi investigates and meets Ayumi Omori, the professor’s wife and the sole survivor of the massacre. Ayumi reveals that her husband was obsessed with the idea that the body is merely a vessel.
During the filming, Nagisa’s hallucinations intensify. Her agent examines the old camera, which contains the professor’s original footage of the murders. As the film plays, Nagisa relives the events in a hallucination, witnessing the actors transform into the characters they portray. The ghosts of the victims pursue her, and she flees into the town. Simultaneously, her agent watches the escape unfold from the professor’s perspective. Cornered in a store, Nagisa grabs a piece of glass to end her life.
