Description: Red Eye (2005) tells the gripping story of Lisa Reisert, a hotel manager who boards a red-eye flight from Dallas Love Field to Miami, Florida. At the airport, she meets Jackson Rippner, a seemingly charming man traveling to the same destination. To her surprise, he takes the seat next to her on the plane.
Shortly after takeoff, Jackson reveals his true intentions. He is part of a domestic terrorist group planning to assassinate Charles Keefe, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security. Lisa’s role as acting manager at the Lux Atlantic Hotel, where Keefe and his family are staying, is pivotal to their plan. Jackson demands that Lisa use the in-flight phone to move the Keefe family to a specific room, which will be targeted by a missile. If she refuses, Jackson’s accomplice will kill her father.
Despite the pressure, Lisa attempts to outsmart Jackson. She secretly writes a warning in a book she had given to a fellow passenger, but Jackson discovers her plan and knocks her unconscious. Upon waking, Lisa is forced to comply and make the call. When a storm interrupts the phone connection, she pretends to follow orders but eventually stalls, claiming she needs to use the restroom.
Inside the restroom, Lisa writes a fake bomb threat on the mirror, but Jackson erases it and threatens her further. A young girl notices something unusual and alerts a flight attendant, but the situation is dismissed. The tension escalates as Lisa struggles to protect her father and thwart the terrorists’ deadly plot.
