Description: In the opening scenes of the movie, the sudden death of Ram Prasad Bhargava (played by Naseeruddin Shah), the patriarch of the Bhargava family, brings his large family back to their ancestral home, where his wife Savitri (Supriya Pathak Kapur) now lives alone.
