**Storyline:**
After a car accident, a man wakes up injured and confused. He flags down a passing driver for help, but the driver suddenly dies after veering off the road. Realizing he doesn’t remember his name or location, he checks his wallet and discovers he is Liam Hartwell. On his way back to town, he stops at a diner, only to find everyone inside dead. News reports suggest a possible virus outbreak, prompting Liam to cover his face for protection. When he warns a farmer to leave the area, the farmer dies upon approaching him. Liam soon realizes he is the cause of the deaths, not a virus.
A woman with amnesia arrives at Liam’s house, revealing she was with him during the accident. Surprisingly, she can approach him without dying. They discuss their situation, but neither remembers why they were together or what caused the crash. Liam doesn’t share his theory about the deaths but questions the woman, Jane Doe, about any unusual experiences. When she mentions nothing abnormal in her hospital tests, they return to the crash site and discover a charred circle. Liam finally explains his theory, but Jane reacts with fear and insists he stay away. A nearby police officer dies as soon as Jane leaves.
Using a goat, Liam demonstrates to Jane that any living creature that comes near him dies unless Jane is within 50 feet (15 meters). While Liam initially wants to alert the authorities, Jane convinces him they won’t believe him and suggests he undergo hospital testing instead.
