Description: The 2008 film *Race* revolves around the lives of four main characters introduced by RD (Anil Kapoor). Ranvir “Ronny” Singh (Saif Ali Khan), a successful business tycoon, manages Stallion Group, a prominent horse racing company in Durban inherited from his father. His younger brother, Rajiv Singh (Akshaye Khanna), is an alcoholic who depends on Ronny financially. Ronny is in a relationship with aspiring model Sonia (Bipasha Basu), while his personal assistant Sophia (Katrina Kaif) seems to harbor feelings for him. Ronny is also engaged in fierce competition with rival horse owner Kabir (Dalip Tahil).
The movie begins with a murder attempt involving a car crash that Ronny narrowly escapes. After losing money in a race due to Kabir bribing his jockey, Ronny retaliates by planting a bomb in the jockey’s car, killing him and revealing his ruthless nature. Later, Ronny crushes Kabir when the latter offers to buy his debt-ridden business. During a party, Ronny meets Sonia and falls in love with her.
In a drunken confession, Rajiv admits to Ronny that he has feelings for Sonia and vows to quit drinking if he can be with someone like her. Ronny steps aside, allowing Rajiv to pursue Sonia. The two start a relationship that appears happy, but Rajiv eventually uncovers Sonia’s dark past. He devises a scheme to use her to his advantage, revealing that their father had secured identical life insurance policies for both brothers worth a significant sum. Rajiv plans to stage Ronny’s death as an accident to claim the $100 million insurance payout, enlisting Sonia’s help in exchange for $20 million. They fake a marriage, with Rajiv pretending to remain an alcoholic and ignoring Sonia. Following Rajiv’s plan, Sonia seduces Ronny, who confesses his enduring love for her.
