Description: **Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988): Plot Summary**
Dhanraj, released on bail, receives a letter from his son Raj, a passionate music enthusiast who has completed his education at Rajput College. Dhanraj secretly attends Raj’s college farewell party, proud to see his son pursuing his dreams. Unexpectedly, Raj travels to Dhanakpur, where he meets Rashmi, a relative of Raghuveer, and is instantly drawn to her. Their paths cross again at a holiday destination, and they fall in love. However, Raj hesitates to reveal the truth about his family to Rashmi.
When Rashmi’s father, Randhir, discovers their relationship, he arranges her marriage to another man. Determined to stay together, Raj and Rashmi defy their families and elope, envisioning a peaceful life. Enraged, Randhir hires a contract killer to eliminate Raj. The couple takes refuge in an abandoned fort, blissfully unaware of the danger.
Upon learning their location, Randhir confronts them, pretending to accept their relationship to persuade Rashmi to return home. Meanwhile, Raj goes out to collect firewood, leaving Rashmi at the fort. During his absence, he is pursued by Randhir’s henchmen. Dhanraj arrives at the fort, inquiring about Raj’s whereabouts. Concerned for Raj’s safety, Rashmi leaves the fort to find him.
In a tragic turn of events, the contract killer shoots Rashmi instead of Raj. Raj rushes to her side, but she succumbs to her injuries, dying in his arms. Overcome with grief, Raj takes his own life, stabbing himself and lying beside Rashmi. The story concludes with both families rushing to the scene as the lovers are united in death, with the sun setting behind them, symbolizing their eternal togetherness.
