**Storyline:**
Puss in Boots is an anthropomorphic, Spanish-speaking cat, known for his iconic pair of boots. On the run from the law, Puss aims to reclaim his lost honor. He discovers that the notorious outlaw duo, Jack and Jill, possess the magic beans he has been searching for. These beans can lead him to a giant’s castle, rumored to hold valuable golden goose eggs. While attempting to steal the beans from Jack and Jill’s hideout, Puss is interrupted by Kitty Softpaws, a skilled feline thief hired by Humpty Alexander Dumpty, a talking egg and Puss’s estranged childhood friend from the orphanage where they grew up.
Puss recounts his past to Kitty, revealing how Humpty deceived him into robbing a bank in their hometown of San Ricardo, forcing Puss to flee. Despite the betrayal, Humpty convinces Puss to join him and Kitty in their quest for the beans and the golden eggs.
As Puss and Kitty grow closer, their relationship turns romantic. The trio successfully steals the beans, plants them in the desert, and climbs the resulting beanstalk to the giant’s castle. Inside, Humpty reveals that the giant has long been dead, but they must evade the Great Terror, the guardian of the golden eggs. Realizing the eggs are too heavy, they opt to steal the goose’s baby gosling, which lays golden eggs. After escaping the castle and cutting down the beanstalk, they celebrate their success.
However, Jack and Jill ambush the group, knocking Puss unconscious. Upon waking, Puss believes Humpty and Kitty have been kidnapped and tracks the outlaws’ wagon back to San Ricardo. There, he discovers the kidnapping was staged. Jack, Jill, and Kitty are all working for Humpty, who is seeking revenge for Puss abandoning him during their failed heist years earlier.
Surrounded by the town’s militia, Puss surrenders after pleas from his adoptive mother, Imelda. As Puss is taken to jail, Humpty is hailed as a hero for bringing the wealth of the golden eggs to the townspeople.
