The story begins in 2013, when Assistant Commissioner of Police Raghavan Amrendra Singh Umbi, a drug addict, visits a Mumbai drug dealer. His plan to buy drugs is interrupted when he discovers the dealer and another man have been murdered. The next day, while investigating the crime, he receives a hammer and an anonymous phone call.
In 2015, a man named Ramanna surrenders to the police and confesses to killing nine people. Though detained and beaten, he escapes with the help of a group of boys. Seeking food at his sister Lakshmi’s house, he clashes with his brother-in-law and later returns to murder the couple and their son. Raghavan investigates the crime, finding a photo of Ramanna with Lakshmi, which confirms his involvement.
Raghavan is in a troubled relationship with Smrutika “Simi” Naidu, whom he abuses and has forced into multiple abortions. Meanwhile, Ramanna begins surveilling Raghavan and Simi, hinting at a connection between the cop and the killer. The stalking escalates when Ramanna murders Simi’s maid and her husband. He is eventually captured but escapes again, killing the man who helped the police.
Raghavan’s dark side is revealed when he murders an African drug dealer after visiting his father. Later, he picks up a woman named Ankita at a nightclub and takes her to Simi’s house. Under the influence of drugs, Raghavan fails to perform sexually, leading to Ankita mocking him. Enraged, he assaults her and searches for his hidden drug stash. When Simi demands he leave with Ankita, Raghavan strikes her, causing her to hit her head on a glass table and die instantly.
This intense narrative explores the twisted paths of both Raghavan and Ramanna, blurring the lines between law enforcer and criminal.
