BJP leader Dilip Ghosh criticized the exclusion as a politically motivated decision, emphasizing that it reflected the TMC’s vindictive approach under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In response, TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh defended the move as an administrative decision by Nandan. He also pointed out the BJP’s history of targeting actors and controlling the film industry, citing campaigns against Shahrukh Khan as an example.
Meanwhile, Nandan continued to showcase other films like “Haami 2” and “Dostojee.” Despite the controversy, “Projapati” remained a topic of discussion, highlighting the ongoing tensions between politics and entertainment in West Bengal.
