**Storyline:**
The story begins in the year 2000, focusing on Vikram, a shy and reserved young man played by Naga Chaitanya. Vikram is deeply in love with Suma, portrayed by Anupama Parameswaran, who happens to be admired by many boys in their area. Despite his efforts to express his feelings through a love letter, Vikram is unable to hand it over to Suma due to her strict father’s interference. He eventually entrusts a neighbor, a young girl often seen around Suma, to deliver the letter. As Vikram and Suma grow closer, he is devastated to discover that she is already in love with someone else and only sought his help to communicate with her true love. Despite warnings from his friends and family that Suma is merely using him, Vikram continues to support her selflessly, showcasing his genuine affection.
In 2005, Vikram enters a new phase of life as a rebellious college student. Alongside his friends, Vasu and Siva, he often engages in mischief, leading to a suspension after a confrontation with a rival group. Upon returning to college, he and his friends begin ragging new students, mistaking a Tamil-Marathi lecturer, Sithara, for a student. Sithara, played by Shruti Hassan, initially lets them off but later punishes them for drinking in class. Over time, Vikram develops feelings for Sithara. Meanwhile, the physical education coach and another lecturer attempt to win Sithara’s affection, but Vikram outsmarts them and gradually grows closer to her.
As their bond deepens, Vikram starts calling Sithara regularly. However, his insecurities surface when Sanjay, Sithara’s cousin, appears and expresses a close relationship with her. Recognizing Vikram’s jealousy, Sithara reassures him and eventually reciprocates his feelings, marking a significant turning point in their relationship.
