Description: Five years ago, Newton Graceland, a researcher studying the Reverse World, a realm opposite to reality, created a device to harness the powers of Giratina, the ruler of the Reverse World. This would allow travel between the two worlds. However, Newton abandoned the project upon discovering it would lead to Giratina’s death. Although the blueprints were deleted, his assistant Zero retained the knowledge.
Later, time and space, dimensions that should never have interacted, collided and began to unravel. Dialga, the Pokémon that governs time, and Palkia, the Pokémon that controls space, clashed in Alamos Town, each blaming the other for invading their territory. This conflict caused distortions that polluted the Reverse World, enraging Giratina.
Giratina captured Dialga and dragged it into the Reverse World. Shaymin, a flower-bearing hedgehog-like Pokémon, became caught on Dialga’s back as the portal opened. Terrified, Shaymin used its powers to escape back to the real world, followed by Dialga, who trapped Giratina in an infinite time loop to prevent it from entering reality.
Shaymin encountered Pokémon trainers Ash Ketchum, Dawn, and Brock, who agreed to help it reach the Flower Garden in the mountains for its annual migration and flower-bearing process. However, a portal to the Reverse World opened, pulling Shaymin, Ash, and Dawn inside. There, they encountered Giratina but were rescued by Newton.
Giratina sought Shaymin’s power to enter the real world, forcing Newton to send Shaymin and the trainers back. Meanwhile, Zero, also after Shaymin’s power, attacked them with an army of Magnemite, Magneton, and Magnezone. Escaping onto a train, Shaymin transformed into its Sky Forme upon contact with a Gracidea flower, gaining a deer-like appearance and the ability to fly.
