The story follows a humanoid alien who lands on Earth in Rajasthan for a research mission. He is stranded when the remote control for his spaceship is stolen, leaving him unable to return. Meanwhile, in Belgium, an Indian Hindu woman named Jaggu falls in love with a Pakistani Muslim man, Sarfaraz. Their relationship faces opposition from Jaggu’s father due to religious differences. A religious guru predicts that Sarfaraz will betray Jaggu, but she remains determined to prove them wrong. However, at their wedding, Jaggu receives an unsigned letter that she believes is from Sarfaraz, calling off the marriage. Heartbroken, she returns to India and becomes a news reporter.
Later, Jaggu encounters the alien, who is distributing leaflets about the “missing” God. She gains his trust after helping him during an incident at a temple. The alien reveals he is an “astronaut” from another planet where communication happens through touch, not words, and where concepts like clothing and religion are unknown. He learns to adapt by wearing clothes and using money stolen from parked cars.
In a flashback, the alien is hit by a truck and befriended by a bandmaster named Bhairon Singh. Bhairon takes him to a brothel, where the alien learns the Bhojpuri language by holding a prostitute’s hand for hours. Bhairon suggests that the thief who stole the remote control might be in Delhi, prompting the alien to travel there. Due to his peculiar behavior, people assume he is drunk and nickname him “PK,” which he adopts as his name since his species has no language or names.
The movie explores themes of love, betrayal, and the complexities of human society.
