Clare reveals that she is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her desires, even if it means hurting others. Meanwhile, Irene and Brian argue over how to raise their children in the face of racial challenges. Irene becomes increasingly suspicious of the closeness between Brian and Clare, especially when her sons seem more excited to see Clare than her. Her paranoia intensifies after Brian prioritizes spending time with Clare over her, leading to a heated argument between the couple.
Despite Irene’s attempts to distance herself from Clare, Brian invites Clare to a tea party for Hugh. Irene, overwhelmed by emotions and alcohol, accidentally breaks an heirloom teapot after witnessing an intimate moment between Brian and Clare. The film explores themes of identity, race, and the complexities of relationships, making it a thought-provoking cinematic experience.
