The two have been secretly married for two years, and Mukesh refuses to acknowledge their relationship publicly. Shanti reveals she is pregnant with Mukesh’s child, leaving Om heartbroken. Mukesh appears thrilled but later reveals his true intentions.
On the set of their upcoming film, *Om Shanti Om*, Mukesh plans to cancel the project, publicly announce their marriage, and organize a grand wedding. However, Mukesh betrays Shanti, expressing that her insistence on revealing their relationship and the child would ruin his career. He sets the film set on fire, trapping Shanti inside.
A devastated Om witnesses Mukesh leaving the scene and hears Shanti’s desperate cries for help. Though he attempts to rescue her, Mukesh’s guards brutally attack him, leaving him severely injured.
