**Storyline:**
*Oh My Kadavule* (translated as *Oh My God*) is a 2020 Indian Tamil romantic fantasy film, marking the directorial debut of Ashwath Marimuthu. The film features Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, and Vani Bhojan in lead roles, supported by Sha Ra and M. S. Bhaskar. Additionally, Vijay Sethupathi and Ramesh Thilak make extended cameo appearances. The movie premiered theatrically on February 14, 2020, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. It was later selected for an official screening at the International Indian Film Festival in Toronto in August 2020.
The story revolves around Anu (Ritika Singh), Arjun (Ashok Selvan), and Mani (Sha Ra), who are childhood friends. At a party celebrating Arjun’s success in clearing his engineering exams, Anu reveals that her father, Paulraj (M. S. Bhaskar), is looking for a groom for her. She unexpectedly proposes marriage to Arjun, who agrees. A year later, however, the couple is seen filing for divorce in family court.
Behind Arjun sits a mysterious man (Ramesh Thilak) who predicts that the divorce hearing will be postponed because Anu will faint and be rushed to the hospital. He hands Arjun a visiting card and disappears. Shocked when the prediction comes true, Arjun visits the address on the card and meets the man, who introduces himself as God (Vijay Sethupathi). Arjun confides in God about his struggles.
Meanwhile, Arjun develops a friendship with Meera, who encourages him to pursue his passion for acting and audition for Gautham Vasudev Menon’s upcoming film. The audition goes exceptionally well, with Arjun impressing the director. Later, Meera opens up about her failed film-making attempts and a past breakup. Arjun consoles her with a hug, but this is misinterpreted by Anu, who believes they are having an affair. This misunderstanding leads to a heated argument between Anu and Arjun, culminating in Arjun demanding a divorce.
