**Storyline:**
Rameshchandra Chaudhry, a lawyer, is deeply in love with Hemnalini. His happiness turns to dismay when he discovers that his father wishes for him to marry Sushilla, the daughter of a widow. Although he initially refuses, resulting in his father disowning him, Rameshchandra eventually relents after the bride’s mother implores him, agreeing to marry without having met Sushilla first.
After the marriage, the couple embarks on a boat journey that takes a dramatic turn when a storm capsizes the vessel, leaving them as the sole survivors.
Haunted by thoughts of Hemnalini, Rameshchandra struggles to connect with his new bride. Over the months, as he converses with her, he comes to a startling realization: she is not Sushilla, but Kamla, the wife of another man!
