Description: In the 2014 film *Non-Stop*, two U.S. Air Marshals, Jack Hammond and the alcoholic Bill Marks, board a flight from New York City to London. Marks sits beside Jen Summers, who switched seats to sit by the window. Shortly after takeoff, Marks receives a threatening message on his secure phone: someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred to a specific bank account. Ignoring protocol, Marks consults Hammond, who dismisses the threat as a hoax. Marks enlists Summers and flight attendant Nancy to monitor security cameras while he attempts to identify the mysterious individual behind the messages.
When Hammond is spotted using his phone and suddenly heads to the rear lavatory, Marks confronts him. Hammond tries to bribe Marks and attacks him, but Marks subdues him in a chokehold. As Hammond reaches for a gun, Marks kills him exactly at the 20-minute mark. Marks later discovers cocaine in Hammond’s briefcase, realizing he was blackmailed and set up. Marks alerts the TSA, but Agent Marenick reveals the bank account is registered in Marks’ name, accusing him of orchestrating the plot. Meanwhile, the pilot, David McMillan, dies from apparent poisoning. Kyle, the co-pilot, assures Marks of his innocence.
Marks begins searching suspicious passengers, but when a video of him confronting schoolteacher Tom Bowen surfaces, the public is convinced Marks is the perpetrator. Kyle is ordered by the TSA to divert the flight to Iceland. Marks persuades programmer Zack White to develop a virus to trigger the hijacker’s phone. The phone rings in passenger Charles Wheeler’s pocket, but he denies ownership. During harsh questioning, Wheeler suddenly dies, foaming at the mouth.
In the first-class lavatory, Marks discovers a hole drilled into the wall, allowing a clear shot to the pilot’s seat, and finds a dart in Wheeler’s body. He accuses Summers of being the hijacker after learning she recently entered the lavatory. Hurt and angered, Summers defends herself, convincing Marks of her innocence. The film builds tension as Marks races against time to uncover the true mastermind behind the in-flight terror.
