Storyline:
Jessica, a bartender at an upscale event in New Delhi, refuses to serve alcohol to three men—Manish, Vishal, and Lucky—after the last call. Manish, the son of a powerful politician, shoots Jessica in the head in retaliation. Despite numerous eyewitnesses, Jessica’s sister, Sabrina, discovers that they are either unwilling to testify or have been bribed to remain silent. This turns what should have been a straightforward case into one marred by greed and political influence.
Manish is arrested, and the investigation begins. Inspector N. K. informs Sabrina that one of the bullets sent for forensic analysis has been tampered with. Sabrina’s relentless efforts to gather evidence and convince witnesses to testify fail repeatedly. The court case drags on until 2006, when, due to insufficient evidence and witness cooperation, the accused are acquitted. The devastating news leads to Sabrina’s mother suffering a fatal heart attack.
Meanwhile, journalist Meera Gaity learns of the acquittal through a newspaper. Shocked by the miscarriage of justice, she takes it upon herself to seek justice for Jessica. With her editor’s approval, Meera conducts sting operations, exposing systemic failures in the justice system and holding the police and authorities accountable. Inspector N. K. assists Meera by providing a tape in which Manish confesses to the crime. Meera uses this evidence to publicly shame those involved and rally public support.
As the case gains media attention, the public becomes outraged. Protests erupt, demanding justice for Jessica and condemning the cover-up by the powerful. People express their support through phone calls, text messages, and social media, putting immense pressure on Manish’s family and their political party. The film highlights the struggle for justice against corruption and the power of collective action.
