Description: Inspector Chan Kwok-wing, played by Jackie Chan, leads a squad to apprehend a group of five rebellious youths who rob a bank and target police officers. Their hideout is filled with traps, resulting in the decimation of Chan’s entire team. Overwhelmed by guilt and loss, Chan takes a year-long leave to drown his sorrows in alcohol. His girlfriend’s younger brother, Rocky, was among those killed, deepening his despair.
A stranger named Frank Cheng, portrayed by Nicholas Tse, approaches Chan and urges him to reopen the case. Chan initially refuses but eventually regains his determination after confronting two thieves who robbed him while he was intoxicated. Chan’s superior, Chiu Chan, doubts his abilities and challenges him to solve the case independently. Frank reveals that he is related to a deceased squad member, motivating Chan further.
Chan and Frank seek help from former colleague Sam Wong, who provides a crucial clue: a watch stolen from one of the robbers. Wong also discloses that the gang includes a woman and is involved in extreme sports (X-games). The duo tracks the gang to an X-games event on a skyscraper rooftop. With the police’s intervention, they identify two suspects: Fire and Sue, the female member. The story unfolds as Chan and Frank face the dangerous gang, determined to bring them to justice.
