Description: In 1989, Natrajan, his wife, and his mother-in-law visited the Lord Bairava temple to pray for a child, as they had been unable to conceive. During their visit, a saint sought shelter in the temple from a storm. The family offered him prashadam (food offered to god), and after hearing their story, the saint gifted them a dog, claiming it was no ordinary animal. He explained that the dog possessed powers that would solve their problems and bring them wealth. The saint’s words came true: Natrajan’s wife became pregnant and gave birth to a son, while the family grew wealthy through Natrajan’s lorry business. They named the dog Bhairavar.
In the present day, Naai Sekar is a petty criminal who specializes in kidnapping wealthy people’s dogs for ransom. During one of his schemes, he mistakenly kidnaps a dog belonging to a local rowdy named Dass. Although Sekar manages to collect a ransom, Dass’s henchmen eventually track him down and beat him and his gang. In the ensuing confrontation, Sekar shoots Dass in the groin. Fearing retaliation, Sekar and his gang plan to flee to Kerala. However, Sekar’s grandmother intervenes, scolding him and revealing their family’s history.
After Sekar’s birth, the family hired a servant named Meganathan, also known as Max, to care for Bhairavar. Max, upon learning about the dog’s powers from a drunken Natarajan, kidnapped Bhairavar. The family’s fortunes declined after the dog’s disappearance: Sekar’s mother passed away, and Natarajan never returned from his search for Bhairavar. Determined to restore their prosperity, Sekar decides to travel to Lala Palace in Hyderabad to retrieve the dog from Max.
