Genre: Comedy;Family
Description: After the death of their wealthy father, Rudolf Smuntz, his two sons, Lars and Ernie, inherit a string factory and an old Victorian mansion. While Lars remains loyal to the family business, Ernie pursues a career as a chef. However, a cockroach incident at Ernie’s restaurant causes the mayor’s death, leading to the restaurant’s closure. Meanwhile, Lars refuses to sell the factory despite an offer from Zeppco International, resulting in his wife kicking him out. With no other options, the brothers stay in the neglected mansion.
Unable to sleep due to a persistent mouse, they discover blueprints revealing the mansion was designed by a renowned architect, Charles Lyle LaRue. Realizing its potential value, they decide to renovate and auction it. However, the mouse proves to be unusually clever, foiling their attempts to eliminate it. Desperate, they bring in a massive cat named “Catzilla” and hire an eccentric exterminator named Caesar, but their efforts fail disastrously.
As financial pressures mount, the brothers face eviction unless they repay the mortgage. With time running out and workers on strike, their plans to restore the mansion and their lives hang in the balance.
