Description: In the year 932 AD, King Arthur and his squire, Patsy, journey across Britain in search of men to join the Knights of the Round Table. Along their travels, Arthur engages in debates, such as whether swallows could carry coconuts, and recalls receiving Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake. He defeats the Black Knight and witnesses an impromptu witch trial. Arthur successfully recruits Sir Bedevere the Wise, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Galahad the Pure, and Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-as-Sir-Lancelot, along with their squires and Robin’s minstrels. Leading them to Camelot, Arthur is unimpressed by what he sees, dismissing it as “a silly place” and deciding to leave. However, God appears and commands Arthur to seek the Holy Grail.
Arthur and his knights encounter a castle occupied by French soldiers who mock them and claim to possess the Grail. After being driven away by a barrage of barnyard animals, Bedevere devises a plan to infiltrate the castle using a Trojan Rabbit. However, the plan fails when no one hides inside the rabbit, and the knights are forced to retreat. Arthur then decides to split the group, sending the knights on separate paths to search for the Grail. Meanwhile, a modern-day historian documenting Arthurian legends is killed by a knight on horseback, sparking a police investigation.
During their quest, Arthur and Bedevere receive directions from an old man and face the peculiar demands of the dreaded Knights Who Say “Ni!” Sir Robin avoids a confrontation with a Three-Headed Knight by escaping while the heads argue. Sir Galahad is lured by a grail-shaped beacon to Castle Anthrax, which is inhabited by young women, but he is unexpectedly “rescued” by Lancelot. Lancelot, in turn, receives a note delivered by an arrow, believing it to be from a distressed woman forced into marriage. He storms Swamp Castle, only to discover the note was sent by an effeminate prince, resulting in the slaughter of several wedding guests.
